Mother's Day 2013

http://1teacherwriting.blogspot.com/2012/05/moment-child-is-born-mother-is-also.html

This was last year's Mother's Day post and it still holds true. Of course, now, I AM a grandmother of the most beautiful grandson ever. Such a miracle to see your own child with his child. My son is a wonderful dad and my daughter in law is the best mother ever. Being a mother is a job that doesn't stop after your children are grown adults, living their lives on their own. It continues, every day, with joys and worries, laughter and heartache, and each moment enriches my life more than any other thing I do. It has taught me patience, compassion, and unconditional love. It has shaped who I am and I would not have it any other way. So on this Mother's Day, I thank and honor my own mother, who was my best role model. I know my sons' would say that as a grandmother, she enriched their lives. Now, I get to wear two hats, Mom and Grammie. Both of my grandmothers influenced my life in so many ways and my wish is that I will do the same for Weston.
