Imagine how many new mothers are born every minute, every hour, every day, every year.


They join the ranks with other mothers, beginning the most important job they will ever have.
My niece recently joined those ranks. She just became a mother. And there is something that I see in the photos of her with Mason that has changed. The expression on her face as she gazes at her newborn child. I know that look. The one that says, I would give my life for you, I will love you forever. I will not let anything harm you. She doesn't have to say it because it is already evident in the way she holds him, the way she talks about him and all other mothers who see it, know that feeling, know that look and understand that her life has changed forever from that moment on. She does not just live for herself anymore but also for her child and that is an incredible feeling.
