Not Enough Time for Endings

Isn't this a grand way to end the day!

Today, as a friend and I were commiserating about how much there is to do at this time of year and where does one begin, she said that perhaps we should take a lesson from the song that Maria sings in the Sound of Music and "start at the very beginning". That musical does give a powerful calming visual as I imagine Maria and the children running in the open fields of the Swiss Alps. My problem, however, is that I have way toooooo many beginnings and not enough time for endings...

A snow day! What a gift at this time of year but ah, yes, where to begin. So now at 2:30pm, the
first time I have gotten to sit down today I am thinking about all that I have BEGUN.

dog biscuits
crock pot, pot roast
Chicken soup
Swedish Nuts
shoveling half front walkway
dogs have played outdoors

dogs have eaten their bones and then they took a nap...wish I could do that
6 loads of laundry

bed sheets changed and remade
3 rooms vacuumed
Plenty of sighs...
BUT still....what a gift this day is!
